Was ist der Ortsvorstand?
Der Ortsvorstand leitet die IG Metall-Geschäftsstelle. Er besteht aus den beiden Bevollmächtigten sowie Beisitzerinnen und Beisitzern. Von der Delegiertenversammlung der Geschäftsstelle wird er für vier Jahre gewählt. Die Delegiertenversammlung besteht aus von den IG Metall-Mitgliedern vor Ort gewählten Vertreterinnen und Vertretern. Sie tagt viermal im Jahr und entscheidet zum Beispiel über Aktionen in Betrieben. Der Ortsvorstand führt die Beschlüsse der Delegiertenversammlung durch und leitet die Geschäftsstelle. So wird gewährleistet, dass der Wille aus der Basis der IG Metall vom einzelnen Mitglied bis in die höchsten Gremien weitergetragen und vertreten wird.
